Savvy Aging offers an additional service to help senior homeowners. Savvy Aging finds screens, interviews, and refers senior homeowners to residential real estate agents who specialize in helping seniors sell their home, typically to provide equity needed to pay for long term care or senior housing. These agents have been evaluated to assure they have substantial knowledge of the real estate market in the relevant area and typically have a SRES designation from the National Association of Realtors. This designation reflects specialized training and experience on real estate matters for seniors. My clients are introduced to two different agents to meet with so they can select the right agent to list and sell their home.
The agents I refer will be highly qualified to evaluate your home, conduct a competitive market analysis to help set the sale price, as well as then market and sell your home to a qualified buyer. Most agents offer this competitive market analysis at no charge and meet with you to review it before you are asked to sign a listing agreement. Take your time selecting the right agent to list your home.
This is a referral only service which means that I do not have real estate “clients” nor do I engage in traditional real estate practices such as buying or selling real estate or negotiating related agreements. This service is at no cost to my client or the listing agent you select and is only available to clients who engage Savvy Aging to create a Guided Plan for Senior (GPS).

Barry D. Epstein conceived and founded Senior Housing Residential Referral Service in 2005 which at the time was believed to be the first referral service designed exclusively to help senior homeowners find and screen real estate agents with special knowledge and experience. Mr. Epstein at that time and for years thereafter (not presently) was a commercial real estate broker specializing in senior care properties.
